OUBLIETTE

By Khecari (other events)

19 Dates Through Dec 07, 2014

ABOUT ABOUT

Twelve audience members enter an elaborate constructed structure that holds their seating as well as the performance “stage” – a five foot by eight foot pit with six foot walls. Inside, an hour-long contemporary dance performance ensues, with four dancers in the minute space surrounded by the sounds of two live musicians.  The work is an excavation of new movement language forced and facilitated by the unusual confines, and an exploration of the related themes of confinement.
